Ah! atom::funk! Certainly one of my most accomplished mixes, technically speaking, but not quite representative of my sound at the time. I have to admit I recorded this mix specifically to send as a demo to get booked, so I played it safe in the choice of tracks and worked hard on the technical side of the mixes.
I recorded it live in one afternoon at Maurice Nightclub in Quebec City, where I was resident back then. I also remember that I was really mad at my grilfriend at the time, although I don’t really remember why, but anecdote aside, it proves my theory that creating in a bad mood is often very efficient! đ
This is not the complete mix as it was recorded on a 90 minutes cassette tape but had to be truncated when I transfered it to CD a couple of years later, and I’ve since lost the original master…
